Destinations

Student destinations have been extremely positive. Many of our Year 13 leavers went onto apprenticeships at various levels with virtually all other students going to university. Nearly all leavers remained within our specialism for their next steps beyond the UTC.

These destinations are supported through site visits and employer-led projects which continue to be a very successful aspect and key feature of the UTC and one of the ways in which we are able to develop the UTC values within our young people such as resilience, accountability, aspiration and collaboration.

Year 11 Destinations

All Year 11 have secured their next destination. We have had an overwhelming majority return to the UTC which is excellent. We also have a number of students attending other providers to study their chosen future aspiration.

Year 13 Destinations

All year 13 students have secured an apprenticeship, university or a place within employment. We have a small number of students that have joined agencies to work within construction or have taken a Gap Year in between their next studies.

Apprenticeships include:

  • (EB) Architecture Apprenticeship with Baily Garner
  • (GG) Construction Apprenticeship with RMD Kwikform

T-Level

We had a very high pass rate in the Construction T-level with virtually all students achieving Distinction or Merit. Our Design, Planning and Surveying T Level was very successful, we had a 100% pass rate with 91% of students achieving a grade Distinction or Merit.

  • (TK) Project Management Apprenticeship with Turner and Townsend
  • (LQ) Building Surveyor Apprenticeship with Wolverhampton City Council
  • (JB) Civils Apprentice with Bam Nuttall
  • (AB) Construction Management Apprenticeship with BAM
  • (SM) Architecture Apprenticeship with Baily Garner
