In accordance with the Thomas Telford UTC Admissions Policy, Parents and Carers who wish their child to remain on the waiting list for the forthcoming academic year are required to complete a new Waiting List form. If your child is currently on our waiting list you should have by now received a new form in the post, please return this as soon as possible
Please note that if the completed form is not received, your child’s name will be removed from the waiting list in accordance with the Admissions policy.
Admission for 2027 commences from September 2026. For September 2027 admission, you must apply through your local authority. If you wish to apply to Thomas Telford UTC, you must list Thomas Telford UTC as one of your five preferences (in order of preference).

You do not need to book a place for the non-verbal reasoning test. If you list Thomas Telford UTC as one of your school preferences, your child will receive an invitation to the test after the 31st October deadline.
Information Evenings are on 10th, 16th and 30th September at 4:10pm and 6pm sittings. Please book using this link.
If you want to apply to Thomas Telford UTC you MUST attend an information evening.
For the 4:10pm booking you are invited to tour the school before the principals presentation at 5pm - (There will not be an opportunity to tour after the presentation due to another sitting at 6.00 pm.)
For the 6pm sitting the school tour is after the presentation.
